Mechanical edge of dock leveler

This dock leveler relies on built-in torsion spring groups to keep the deck balanced.

Pull down the operating handle to lift and flip out the lip plate, let the lip overlap the truck carriage. After cargo-loading, lift the handle and the deck will reset automatically under spring force.

No electric motor, hydraulic station or power cable needed, perfectly suitable for docks without power supply.

Hydraulic edge of dock leveler

1. Equipped with a small hydraulic power unit: motor + hydraulic pump station + lifting cylinder + lip tilting cylinder, external power supply. Button control allows for one-button lifting of the main platform and automatic lip tilting for connection to the truck bed.

2. Lowering is also controlled by hydraulic valves; operation requires only a button, eliminating the need for manual lever pulling and completely reducing the physical exertion of manual operation.

3. No high-torque mechanical springs are used, eliminating the risk of spring fatigue and breakage; balance is achieved by the hydraulic system.

Installation structural characteristics and application scenarios

1. Conventional hydraulic loading ramps require civil engineering work, including excavation and pre-embedded components; **the lip-edge type is directly bolted to the concrete end face of the loading platform**, eliminating the need for pit excavation.

2. Renovating old warehouses and aging loading docks does not require damaging the existing ground, resulting in extremely low civil engineering costs and a short installation period; assembly can be completed in 3-5 hours.

3. It features integrated rubber anti-collision blocks, providing cushioning and protection against truck collisions, reducing damage to the loading platform and vehicle body; the entire machine is external to the loading platform and does not occupy internal warehouse floor space.

4. Few structural parts: Only springs, shafts, handles, pins, and lip plates are included; there are no easily worn parts such as hydraulic seals, oil pipes, solenoid valves, or circuit boards.

5. Routine maintenance only requires lubricating the shafts, tightening the fixing bolts, and checking the spring tension; the maintenance threshold is low, and ordinary workers can perform the repairs without the need for electricians or hydraulic repair technicians.

6. Extremely low failure rate, resulting in very low consumable costs.

A: Mechanical type works by torsion spring, manual operation, no electricity, cheaper cost. Hydraulic version adopts electric hydraulic cylinder, push-button control, fit for high-intensity daily-use.

No. The edge-of-dock leveler is surface-mounted on the dock edge, no pit required.
